Throughout his early years, Randall developed many different skills and relationships that he was well known for. From family man, education, community outreach programs, motorsports, and talk-show host, Randall truly felt as his life was complete.
As an automotive teacher at Tarrant High school in the early 2000's, Randall loved seeing his students all grown up. Once, as a former member of both the Rotary club and board member of the Mt. Olive park, Randall cared about the health of his community. As the motor head he was, Randall was known in the community for both his roles in drag racing and his role at Shew Automotive. On air, Randall was able to spread his love for the automotive community on his radio shows Car Doctor and Drag Race Central.
Randall is survived by his children, Lauren and Landon Shew and his grandson, Britton Shew who he truly saw as a blessing. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Joan Calvert Shaw; uncle, Gerald (Judy) Shew; aunt, Faye Biddle; nieces, Erynne (Ethan) Sentelle, Madisyn (Tyler) Lord; nephews, Austin (Sadie) Freeman, Carson Freeman; and many cousins and friends. Randall is predeceased by his parents, Claude Shew and Joan Shew Reed; stepfather, Lamar Reed; and grandparents, John M. Shew & Nellie Vice Shew; John Frank Goode & Orlean Carver Goode.
Randall Shew was blessed with a great family, friends, and community who loved him. His legacy will live on in the ways he helped shape others lives. His love for flying can be continued in the heavens. As Randall would say on air "The older I get the faster I'm going to be."
