Corrine Rittner Donahoo

Went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the age of 85. Corrine made it her life’s priority to share her faith, her love, and prayers with others. She was and will always be God’s greatest gift to her family and friends.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Birmingham, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Marine Corp League Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her loving husband to whom she was married to forever, Fred Goode Donahoo; her daughter, Diana Donahoo Rice; her grandson, Charles Fredrick McPherson; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.

Corrine is survived by her son, Mike (Vanessa) Donahoo; her daughter, Pam (Douglas) Cato; 2 brothers: Roland Rittner and Arthur Wilmoth; 2 sisters: Carrol Krolak and Lila Harrison; her grandchildren: Landon and Lindsay Donahoo, Bows Koncewicz, James Edward and Douglas Ray Cato, Pamela Corrine Harrison, Michael Quinn McPherson, and Dianna Lee Alley; and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for donations in honor of Corrine Donahoo to be made to: First Lutheran Church of Birmingham’s Board of Stewardship at 2507 Highland Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35205. Visitation will be held at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gardendale on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, with funeral services beginning at 2:00 pm and interment in Oakwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
