Coach Hale was a very positive influence and role model for me during my childhood. May he rest in peace. Prayers for Ed and all the Hale Family.

Coy was my uncle, but when I was 12 years old my father died, at that time uncle Coy became a father figure to me. Coy & aunt Georgia started taking me to every Alabama Football game. I would spend the night with them in Central Park on Friday nights so we could get up early Saturday morning & head to Tuscaloosa or Legion Field in his motor home.  As a young boy I remember watching his slow methodical ways & mannerisms & later try to be just like him. I am now 37 & still find myself mimicking some of Coy's mannerisms.  As I got into playing High School football we would spend a lot of time talking about my games. This went on until I was around 17. That's when I started driving to the Alabama games but I always drove straight to the motor home & spent the game day with Georgia & Coy. It's hard to describe just how much I enjoyed these Saturday's with aunt Georgia & uncle Coy, I only wish I had told him once I got older. I will never forgot those many good times & will carry on that game day tradition with my family.

We may not have ever met but I feel like I knew you. I work d with Coy at Lackey for ten years. He was a wonderful friend, funny and we compared the crossword puzzles all the time. He made me laugh, loved you and Alabama football. He will be missed by all who ever spent time with him.

Coy, was my friend when he coached my son in little league . He was my friend through our police years and he will be my friend tell we see each other on down the road.

Coy was my big brother. When I was young, I went everywhere with hm. He took me to the races at BIR, where we'd watch Red Farmer, Bobby and Donnie Allison race. He and Georgia would take me places like Florida, Panama City Beach to be specific, where we stayed at the Flamingo Motel. Once I stayed with him through the duration of the little league baseball playoffs where his team was winning, and where I had to were the same dirty clothes for good luck. He loaned me 8-track tapes from his stack on the stereo in the corner. Credence Clearwater Revival was one of his favorites. I helped him with the concrete when he decided to concrete the entire backyard after they installed their pool at the house in Central Park. He bought me my first car, a retired police detective's car, a 1965 Ford Galaxie 500. He always had a welcoming hug and always hugged me good-bye. I can still hear his laugh. I will miss him so; I miss him now. He was my hero and beloved big brother.
