

Cynthia Hallmark Calvert, a beloved and compassionate individual, passed away on September 25, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on September 30, 1951, Cynthia was a devoted member of her community and touched the lives of many with her kindness and dedication.
She was married to the love of her life, Ronald, for 56 years. She had a great interest in antiques, world history, and genealogy, which she got from her Grandfather, Glen Burns. She owned several retail businesses over the years that included antiques, clothing, and floral arrangements. Her last being Shelby's 4th Street Emporium in Cullman, AL where she truly engaged with the community and they appreciated her talent for working with floral arrangements. She loved animals, always having many dogs, cats, and horses over her life. She always encouraged her kids to strive to do their best and give 100% effort. She loved her parents dearly, closing her last store to care for them full time until their deaths.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald; children, Mary St. Laurent (Seto Masahiko) and Glen Calvert (Robin); grandchildren, Shelby Stone, Malik "Monica" Calvert-Hall, Sabra St. Laurent, Brennan Calvert, Alexis Calvert, and Madison McCoy; and great-grandchildren: Stella Stone, Aubrey Chatham, and Ariella Chatham.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ted Hallmark; mother, Mary Ruth Hallmark; brother, Steve Hallmark; and granddaughter, Addilyn Chatham.
Visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, located at 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL, 35071, on September 29, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue on September 30, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
