He is survived by his wife, Bonita L. Good; daughters Jennifer Lankford, Amber Lankford, Sarah Lankford, and Crystal Lankford;
sons Marcus Lankford (Ashley), Jared Lankford (Brandy), Phillip Good (Bethany), and Dean Good Jr. (Laura Jane); grandchildren Sonya Hawkins, Andrew Hawkins Jr., Marcus Lankford, Austin Hutchins, Brayden Campbell, Chandler Campbell, Alaina Kennedy, Matthew Kennedy, Ailiana Brown, Alyssa Brown, Kamya Chatman, Deandre Chatman Jr., Ka’Leah Chatman, Christopher Desormeaux, Bailey Desormeaux, Kayleigh Lankford, Kaiden Lankford, and Kaisen Lankford; sister Katherine Thornton (Danny) and brothers J. Michael Good (Kathy), William Good (Sandy), and David Good (Rose Marie).
Dean had a love for travel that extended to his decades-long career in transportation. He is fondly remembered as a selfless husband, father, PawPaw, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
His family will celebrate his life with visitation on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, Magnolia Hall, from 5pm-7pm. Services will take place on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 11am. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale.
