Donald was born in Moberly, Missouri and graduated Moberly High School, Moberly College and Maple Woods Community College. He worked for Wabash RR and Frisco RR. He retired from the Social Security Admin. He enjoyed model railroading and enthusiast of Light Rail from various cities worldwide.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Erna Lou Hutchinson; sons, John Stephen (Leslie) Hutchinson and James Lee (Angela) Hutchinson; grandchildren, John Stephen Hutchinson, Jr., Paul Whitfield Hutchinson, Andrew Luke Hutchinson, Mariette Louise Hutchinson and Sarah Claire Hutchinson; other relatives, Gloria Edwald, Mary Ann Ewald, Linda and David Smith, Dick and Pat Gunn, and their daughters Lisa, Lori and Meg, and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel on Monday, May 19 from 2:00pm until 3:00pm with a funeral service at 3:00pm. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
