Pawpaw, im so thankful for being your granddaughter. Im thankful for your sweetness and the laughter you always brought. 💛 I dont know what to think about you not being around anymore. You will always be my other daddy. Im so thankful for all the summers and weekends I got to spend with you and nanny. Im thankful for all the mornings you took me and the kids to the school when i (as usual) had car problems. And you never gave me grief about not returning your tire pump for a couple weeks instead of a couple days.. and you still let me continue to use it, not asking any questions. You were always there when I needed you and didnt hesitate to share your margaritas with me. You thought I hung the moon and I know you set the stars. Your always in my heart forever and I know your watching me wherever I go. I love you pawpaw. I will miss you forever.

Dad,
For over 30 years you have been in my life. When we met, I was a young man without a clue and you taught me how to build signs and set me on the path to where I am today.
Over the years, we have shared good and not so good times, endured through sadness, and celebrated joy. Through it all, you were always there, no matter what.
I will never forget fishing after work, bi-annual trips to Talladega, horseshoes in the back yard, chasing after you through Dolly Wood, all of our cruises, driving the car up the ATV trail you thought was a road to see the elk, no matter how spicy we told you something was, you having to find out for yourself - and the instant reaction that followed, you being my biggest fan of whatever I cooked, even if it was bad, and too many other things to list.
I don't really know how to say goodbye to someone who has been such a large part of my life, so I will just say thank you for everything, thank you for being you, thank you for being in my life, thank you for being the dad I needed.
I can only hope to be half of the man, father, and friend you have shown me to be.
There are no words that I can find to describe how much I will miss you.
