At age 61, Kim Tolbert of Kimberly, Alabama, being a devout Christian and a God-fearing lady, departed this world and welcomed in Heaven by Jesus on August 13, 2020. Beloved wife of 35 years to her best friend and sweetheart, Keith Tolbert; loving mother of Brad (Crystal) and Kevin (Terri); cherished MiMi of Hannah Kate, Ellie and Mary Beth; beloved sister of Danny and David Stokes; sister-in-law, Jodi Tolbert Byrd (Daniel), brother-in-law Mark Tolbert, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Shirley Stokes of Adamsville, AL. After 33 years of employment at Alabama Gas Corporation, she retired to keep those precious grandchildren because they were the love of her life. She and PawPaw did anything and everything to please them, so needless to say, that is why they are spoiled rotten. She is also leaving behind so many friends and loved ones along with so many recipes she loved to share. Kim loved to cook and if you were ever visiting at the Tolbert's, you never left their home hungry! Kim will be greatly missed, but she would be the first to tell you that she wasn't afraid to die because she knew who was holding tomorrow and she knew who was holding to her hand. Kim loved the Lord and loved life, but now has a new life and a new home in glory. The family would like to thank Comfort Care for providing services and making Kim's last days so much easier. The Tolbert family would like to send out a special "Thank You" to all of the friends and neighbors of the Doss Ferry Community. Once Kim was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, the Doss Ferry Community rallied together around Keith and Kim and their family in prayer. The community also sent flowers, gifts and food; for this, the Tolbert family is very grateful. Pallbearers are as follows: Daniel Byrd, Harris Carabello, Harvey Funderburk, Allen Holloway, Brad Tolbert and Kevin Tolbert. Honorary Pallbearers are: David Stokes, Danny Stokes, Kevin Banks, Larry Doss and Ronald Drummond.
