Donnie was born on April 26th, 1956 in Birmingham, Alabama to Johnnie (Elbert) and Myrtle McLeroy. On April 23rd, 1977, he married Cheryl Ann Tidwell. They raised two sons, Joseph and Eric.
Donnie is preceded in death by his father, Johnnie (Elbert); his mother, Myrtle; his brother, J.P. McLeroy; his sister, Doris Whisenate; and his father in law, Bertram Tidwell. He is survived by his wife Cheryl McLeroy, his two sons Joseph McLeroy (Beth) of Moody and Eric McLeroy (Ashley) of Hayden, his four grandchildren, Landon McLeroy, Patrick Ingram, Cameron Ingram and Emily Ingram, his sister Caroline Staton of Hayden and his mother in law Edwina Tidwell.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, January 25th, 2021 at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale, AL at 2 o’clock p.m.
