Mrs. Durl Jean Jacobs Shaw age 74 of Birmingham, Al. passed away on April 28, 2018. She was a devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She worked as a cosmetologist for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents J.D and Gladys Drain and also her great granddaughter Lily Doss. Survivors include her husband Walter Shaw, her daughter Karen (Trent) Harbison, her son Ross (Kelly) Jacobs, her brothers Joe Drain, Ricky Drain, Damon Drain, and Michael Drain. She is also survived by her grandson Brandon (Tori) Doss and 2 great grandchildren Henley and Everly Doss. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 02, 2018 at 11:00 am at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am till 11:00 am on Wednesday May 02, 2018 at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
