Dwayne Thomas "Tom" Turner

Tom graduated in the Class of 1983 from Prattville High School, after high school he proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He attended UAB from Summer 2002 to Summer 2005. He had Presidential Honors and was on the Dean's list and graduated with a Computer and Info Sciences and a minor in Information Systems. He graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors. He was currently working as a Health Systems Analyst at UAB. He was a loving man who loved his family and friends. He also loved scouting and while in the Boy Scouts of America he earned the rank of Eagle Scout and received "The Order of the Arrow." He was currently serving as a coleader with Trail Life USA, Troop-AL 1891 at Liberty Baptist Church in Morris, AL.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Gene Thomas Turner.

Tom is survived by his mother, Margaret "Peggy" Turner; his loving wife, Karen Turner; two children, Ashlyn Cate Turner, and Larkin Turner; three step-children Hunter Holcomb and his wife Meagan, Drake Holcomb and Bailey Holcomb; one sister, Jennifer Farish and her husband Michael; one niece, Mary Grace Farish; two nephews, Andy Farish and Matthew Farish; and many friends.

A Celebration of Life visitation for Tom will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM and a Celebration of Life visitation will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Ridout's-Brown Service Prattville Chapel, 347 E Main Street, Prattville, AL, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
