Earl C Hacker

Earl C. Hacker of Gardendale, AL passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the age of 80. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. He always put the needs of his family before his own. Earl loved traveling and visited all fifty states in his RV with his wife and family. He grew up working in his dad’s sawmill and enjoyed working hard all his life. In the past month he could still be found on nice sunny day riding his lawnmower, working around the shop, and helping others in need. Mr. Hacker was retired from the printing business and had owned and operated Fun Source Rental for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Effie Hacker; brother, Harold Hacker; and sisters, Eilleen Jordan and Glena Jordan. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Hacker; sons, Greg Hacker (Tracy) and Dwaine Hacker (Amy); his daughter, Tammy Rogers (Jeffery); brothers, R.V. Hacker and Bill Hacker; sisters, Henrietta Browning, Patricia Dunn, and Faye Smith; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 27th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 8 PM followed by chapel services on Wednesday beginning at 2 PM. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
