Edgar Lloyd Harvey Sr.

Edgar was born in Waynesboro, Pa. and moved with his parents to Pleasant Grove, Al. He served time in the Army, stationed in Anniston, Al. He moved to New Jersey where he worked towards a degree in electronics. Edgar was a holder of 11 patents in the field of electronics. After retirement, he moved to Warrior.

Edgar is survived by his brother Wendell Harvey, two sisters, Lewana Biggs and Sharon Hamilton; children Glenn David Perkins, Carlos Marco Harvey (Nina), Terry Joe Perkins (Maryann); grandchildren, Jacob Harvey, Nicholas Harvey, Andrea Misretta, Brittany Barrington, Jessica Harvey DIxon, Edger Lloyd Harvey III, Elizabeth Harvey, Angela Faith Harvey; great grandchildren Jason Walker, Lee Walker, Neveah Hallman, Sienna Misretta, Anthony (AJ) Misretta, Elliot Barrington, Maeve Barrington and his great, great grandchild Nolen E Hallman.

Mr. Harvey is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Jackson Harvey and Erma Lewana Smart Harvey, his wife, Dorothy Davidson Smarr, his children Edgar Lloyd Harvey, Donna Marie Harvey, and his siblings Lowell Harvey, Dale Harvey and Phyllis Entrekin.

Visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, Alabama 35071, on July 14, 2026, at 10:00 am.
