Edith was born in Tarrant, Al and passed away peacefully at her residence in Pinson, AL at the age of 87. She was a member of the Providence UMC in Morris; AL. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Roy C. and Mary Dee Todd; her loving husband of 31 years at the time of his death in 1977, John Orbin Thomas; a brother, Roy C. Todd, Jr., and a sister, Doris Webster. She is survived by her sons; John O. Thomas (Paula) and Michael D. Thomas; daughter, Rhonda F. Drake; brother, William C. Todd (Totsy); grandchildren, Tiffany Mathews, Jarred Drake, Lorena Wilson, John W. Thomas, Michael D. Thomas, Kayla Thomas and Kelly Thomas; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be directed by Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation Friday, March 28 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with a graveside service on Sat, March 29 at 11:00am in the Haig Rogers Cemetery, Morris, AL.
