Edward a resident of Gardendale, Al passed away peacefully at the age of 89. He was born in Winchester, TN. He was a member of the Army Signal Corp in the European Theater during WWII.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Lottie Rhoton and a brother, Charles Rhoton. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joann Rhoton; daughters, Peggy Dixon (Charles), Janet Rhoton and Kathy White (Benny); grandchildren, Karen Gray, Michelle Smith and Matthew Dixon; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hayden, Drew, Jonah and Logan; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Friday, July 18, 2014 with a visitation from 10am until 10:50am followed by a graveside service in Oakwood Memorial Gardens at 11:00 am with Military Honors presented by the U.S. Army.
