Edward Raymond Strong Jr. passed away January 10th 2022 at South Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on September 11th 1934 in Highland Park, Michigan to Edward and Florence Strong. He was one of four children. He served honorably in the U.S. Army before moving to Birmingham Alabama where he met his loving wife Pearl. He had a long career as a lab technician at UAB Hospital.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Florence Strong. His loving wife Pearl (Warren) Strong. His siblings Carol Jean Weishuhn and James Strong. His son Ronald Gene McRea. His grandson Jeffrey Brent McRea.
Ed is survived by his brother Robert Strong (Donna). His son Richard McRea (Linda). His grandchildren Ben McRea, Shelise Vance (James), and Briana Dudley (Matt). Along with multiple great grandchildren.
Graveside will be held Friday January 13th, 2023 at at Oakwood Memorial Gardens at 11 am.
