Eleanor Faye Stegall

Eleanor (Ellie) Stegall, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on September 18, 2026 at the age of 85. Ellie was on hospice at the home of her cherished daughter, Michelle.

Eleanor Faye Stegall was predeceased by her parents Bert & Jennie Johnson, and her brother Vern Johnson. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, generous heart, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know her.

Ellie was a member of Hayden First Baptist Church since 1983, where she worshiped with her cherished sister Arlene (Boyd) and her daughters when they were younger. Ellie was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed gardening, listening to worship music, and spending time with her family. Ellie retired from State Farm Insurance and made many life-long friends there who she’d become very fond of.

Ellie is survived by her sister, Arlene Pendley; daughters Deana (Keith) Dalton; Jennifer (Dan) Parker; Michelle (Jason) Weldon; grandsons Dylan Dalton, Drew Dalton; and granddaughter Madilyn Weldon; and her life-long faithful friend Sharon Lund.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Ellie will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071 at a later date.
