of Gardendale, AL passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the age of 82. He had been a long term truck driver since the age of 15, and had many millions of miles across this country over his 63 year career. Ellis was preceded in death by his parents: William Earl and Agnes Roberts; his son, Gordon Roberts; and his brother, William Roberts. He is survived by his son, Elliott Roberts (Josey Jane); daughter, Maureen Roberts; 2 sisters, Darlene and Louise; and his brother, Carl Roberts (Gloria). He will be sorely missed by all who’s path he crossed. Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Tuesday, September6, 2011 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with funeral services beginning at 2:00 pm. James Cole officiating with interment in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
