Ernest Elliott

Ernest graduated from Banks High School and he proudly served our country that he loved in the United States Air Force. He was an avid coin collector and he loved Alabama football. Although he never had children of his own, he loved his nieces (the girls) and nephews. He loved his extended family that he came to know at the TLC Nursing Center where he lived his last few years.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Hazel Elliott; a brother, Bill Elliott , and a great-great nephew, Jackson Reid.

Earnest is survived by a sister-in-law, Myra Joy Elliott; six nephews and two girls; eight great neices and nephews; 4 great-great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

A visitation for Ernest will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations in his honor be made to the TLC Nursing Center, "Activities Center," 212 Ellen Street, P.O. Box 698, Oneonta, Alabama, 35121. 205-625-3520.
