Eugene “Gene” Fallon, age 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2018, to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born December 10, 1945, in Birmingham AL. He was a 1965 graduate of Phillips High School. He served proudly on the police force in the City of Birmingham and Fultondale. He also served as a volunteer fireman for the City of Fultondale for years. He was very passionate about helping others. He attended church at The Olive Grove Congregational Methodist Church where he was surrounded by his loving church family. Gene truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; loving his Jesus, playing with Jingles, his cat, watching Alabama football, driving his truck, spending time with his grandkids and making people laugh. Gene cared deeply for others, always lending a hand where he could.
Gene is preceded in death by his grandmother Lantie Cloud, parents Mildred Fallon and Charles Fallon (Dot), wife Alice Fallon, and son, Michael Fallon (Cathy).
Gene is survived by his two daughters, Ginger Belvin (Charles) and Tammy Crawford (Keith); siblings Cathy Ayers (Jack), Wendy Hill (Kevin), Tony Sullivan and Shannon Sullivan; and grandkids, Jordan Belvin, Trey Belvin, Austin Purser, Madison Purser, Chris Fallon, and Anna Fallon and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family, friends, and others whose lives have been touched by Gene are invited to the Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2018, to reminisce, grieve, and celebrate Gene’s life. The funeral will be Monday November 12, 2018 at Ridout’s at 2 p.m.
