Fred Dove Sr., a beloved member of GFBC and a faithful servant of the Lord, entered into eternal rest on May 1, 2025 at the age of 89. Known for his warm spirit, generous heart, and love of music, Fred touched the lives of many through his dedication to the church choir and his joyful gift of playing the organ.
Fred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Louise Dove; three children: Marty Davis, Fred Dove Jr., and Jessica (Billy) Williams; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. His life was a testimony of love, faith, and family.
Fred’s presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the music he shared.
A visitation for Fred will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
