Hicks, Gary Earl, age 63 passed away Monday, July 30, 2012. Gary was born April 3, 1949 in Pinson, AL to Earl M. and Argie J. Hicks. He served in the U. S. Armed Forces, entering in 1969 and served in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl M. Hicks and wife Martha Hicks. Gary is survived by his mother, Argie J. Hicks; brothers: Grant (Denise) Hicks, Graylon (Monicca) Hicks and Gordon (Michele) Hicks; sister, Angie (Mark) Mayes all of Pinson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with burial in Masseyline Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
