Gayle Patricia Rogers

by her loved ones. Gayle graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School in 1956 and worked for

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama for 23 years. As matriarch of the Rogers family, Gayle

spent her life wrangling an unruly bunch of boys, their children, and their children’s children- that

number in the dozens. She enjoyed spending time with her family, trips to Costco, lunch dates,

and her English Bulldogs. Gayle is preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Abigail

Ramey, her brothers Jimmy and Jerry Ramey. She is survived by her husband Hugh Rogers

Sr., her sons Hugh Rogers Jr. (Kelley), David Rogers (Jennifer), and Jeffrey Rogers (Tammy),

along with her 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren who all loved their “Memaw”.

A celebration of life visitation for Gayle will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A celebration of life funeral service will occur Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A burial will occur at Liberty Minter Baptist Cemetery, 1954 Self Creek Rd, Morris, Alabama 35116-1101.
