Gladys Ruth Laningham, age 97 of Warrior, AL passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She truly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with everyone at family gatherings. Mrs. Laningham was a charter member of Zola Baptist Church in Warrior, AL and she collected salt and pepper shakers. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Laningham; a daughter, Peggy Lanningham; brothers, Mitchell, Sam, Harry, Jim, Emmitt, Ben, and Edgar McPherson; and a sister, Martha Holt. She is survived by her son, Larry Laningham; sisters, Grace Reid and Nell Coleman; her granddaughter, Leslie Reid (Joseph); and great grandchildren, Jena Reid and Logan Reid; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd at 2PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
