Stewart, Gladys, age 83 of Gardendale passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013.She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Bonnie Powell, Linda Fugle, Betty Kretchman, and Deborah Stewart; sons, Lloyd “Butch” Stewart, Adam Stewart, and Andrew Stewart; a brother, Bill Davis; thirteen grandchildren, Steven Powell, Amanda Powell, Eric Powell, Karen Flick, Stephen Fugle, Brandy Horton, Cory Horton, Joe Stewart, Veronica Stewart, Jennifer Stewart, Adam John Stewart, Jamie Ray Stewart, and Jessica Stewart; thirteen great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her sons, James and Alan Stewart. Gladys retired from K Mart Gardendale where she worked for many years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale.
