Glenn Dale Crocker, born September 1, 1955, in Texas, passed away peacefully at his home in Hayden, Alabama, on September 16, 2024, at the age of 69. Glenn was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who lived his life with honor, craftsmanship, and love.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Glenn served his country with distinction, earning an honorable discharge as an E-4 Corporal. Following his military service, he became a Master Upholsterer, known for his exceptional skill and attention to detail. His greatest joy came when he married his soulmate, Karen Ann Crocker, in 1991, and together they shared over three decades of unwavering love and companionship.
On September 3, 2024, Glenn experienced a profound spiritual moment when he gave his life to the Lord and became saved. His faith brought him great peace in his final days.
Glenn, affectionately known by many as "Papa Crock", was passionate about woodworking, fishing, riding motorcycles, and keeping his lawn meticulously maintained. His work was always a reflection of his personality—crafted with care and pride.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Crocker, his daughters Alicia (Son-in-law Casey) Mena and Jennifer (Son-in-law Matt) Brown, and his cherished grandchildren, affectionately known as "Papa’s Pee-wees": Alijah, Addison, and Avery Mena (children of Alicia and Casey), as well as Alexis Cran (Rodney Cran) and John Burgett (children of Jennifer). He also leaves behind his beloved great-grandchild, Kyson Cran (child of Alexis Cran), finally last but not least Pat Northcutt (Sister-in-law).
Glenn’s friendships were plenty and as enduring as his love for family. His lifelong friends, Basil Davis, Bev and Larry Denny, Bob and Susan Reeves, and Steve Hearndon, as well as dear friends Chuck Chafin, Stanton Young, and Mitch McBride, Gary and Megan Rouse, will fondly remember his kindness, humor, and loyalty.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Crocker, Glenn will be celebrated for the man he was—a dedicated Marine, a talented craftsman, a man of faith, and above all, a devoted family man.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date (TBA).
"A life well-lived is not measured by the years, but by the love, joy, and kindness we leave behind. Glenn will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him."
