

Greer Neal Perrymon was born January 11, 1932 son of Joe Greer Perrymon and Elberta Rouse Perrymon. He passed away July 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife Jackie Hill Perrymon, and daughter Jennifer Leah Perrymon Powell and best friend and brother Joe Rouse Perrymon. He is survived by his son, Tommy Perrymon (wife Anji) and his loving friend and life companion Rose Usrey along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was a decorated Korean War Service Veteran with two Bronze Service Stars and the United Nations Service Medal as part of the 351 Highway Transport Group with a rank of corporal in U.S. Army. Greer was resident of Gardendale, Alabama and worked for Olivetti Underwood Typewriter Company before purchasing the Birmingham branch and becoming the owner/operator of his own business. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, playing cards at the senior center and most of all ballroom dancing with all the ladies. Greer requested to be cremated and his ashes placed at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
