Gregory Alexander Sandlin

Sandlin, Gregory Alexander “Alex” (27) of DeFuniak Springs, FL passed Saturday, June 11, 2022. Alex was born in Birmingham, AL on December 19, 1994, preceded in death by his godfather Barret Stratton. He is survived by his mother Christina “Tina” Stirnkorb (Owl) and father Todd Sandlin; Brother Drew Brannon; Sisters Skylar, Glace Stirnkorb, and Morgan Sandlin; Grandparents Renee Gravlee (Vann), Betty and John Sandlin, the late Stanley Byram; Uncles, Keith Glaze (Candy), Keith Byram, Travis Sandlin and Marlin Harbin; Aunts Ashley Jones (Heath), Sonia Sandlin, Hope Hinkle (Merritt); Cousins Keri Echols (Brandon), Heather Sandlin, Orville Keith Byram (Jordan), Layla and Emmie Jones, Jonathan Sandlin (Chandler), Anna Sandlin, Brittany Hassell (Aaron), Mason and Ean Aldridge; Second Cousins Milo Byram, Jase and Atlas Sandlin, with many great aunts, uncles, extended family members and loving friends.

Alex loved God, his family and friends. He loved fishing with his brother Drew and spending time with his sisters Skylar, Morgan and Glace. Alex enjoyed working on his property, hiking and camping on the Florida Trail with his beloved dog Yogi. He worked with Ficom and excelled in his career. Anyone who met Alex immediately loved him and he loved you back unconditionally.

Visitation is 12:30 Saturday June 18, 2022 at Rideout’s Gardendale Chapel with services at 2:00. Following the service, there will be a celebration of life held at Gardendale First Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall D, 940 Main Street, Gardendale (Grubbs Avenue entrance).
