Gussie Retha Taylor

Gussie was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who dedicated her life to the care and support of her family.

Gussie was preceded in death by her parents, Wayman and Evie Stapp; her loving husband, Elijah Rufus Taylor; seven siblings, Iree Dooley, Dorothy Petty, LaBelle Stapp, Jeneva Powell, Arzel Danley, Victor Stapp, and J.C. Stapp.

Gussie is survived by, one son, Dale Taylor, two daughters, Susan Rogers and Sandra Franklin; two grandchildren, Brandy Franklin and Nan Hughes and her husband Scott Hughes; two great grandchildren, Hope Hughes and Faith Hughes; several other family members and friends.

A graveside service for Gussie will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071.
