Gwendolyn Colleen Price

Gwendolyn Colleen Price passed away on Tuesday August 12, 2025 at the age of 82 with her husband by her side. Gwen was a loving wife, wonderful mother, Mawmaw, and beloved friend. Gwen was born on September 1, 1942 in Birmingham, Alabama.

Gwen spent many years as a softball coach and cheerleading sponsor. She was an avid Golfer, Bowler, Crocheter, Quilter, and Floral Designer. She had a green thumb like no other, you could always find her working in the yard with the best flower beds. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Gwen is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Verlie Hargett, her brother, David Hargett, and great granddaughter, Gracie Nail.

Gwen is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ted Price, son Greg Price (Wendy), Daughter Rebecca Davis, sister, Mavie Hogan, five grandchildren, Todd Reeves, Kimberly Reeves, Steven Price (Whitney), Danielle Price, and Jessica Reeves, great grandchildren: Faith, Allen, Hope, Hunter, Dalton, Jared, Dustin, Brantley, Charlee, and Weston, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, with a time of visitation to begin at 11:00 AM: funeral service at 12:00 PM, followed by her burial at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
