Harold Malcolm Pate

Dec 16, 1934 – July 20, 2016

Harold, of Gardendale, AL, passed away peacefully at the age of 81. He graduated from Phillips High School, class of 52. He retired from PEMCO after many years of service. He was an avid reader, movie buff, and he loved bowling, fishing and spending time with his family that he loved so dear.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Newell Pate, his loving wife of 36 years, Eddye Pate, and a brother, Derrell Pate.

Harold is survived by his sons, Mark Pate (Marilu) and Jerry Ehl; daughters, Lecia Willingham (Grady) and Laura Padgett (Richard); sisters, Laurene Ogle and Faye Williams; grandchildren, Jessica Box (Travis), Allison Padgett, Zora Willingham and Zach Ehl; a great grandson, Jackson Box; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, 2016 with a visitation at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 9:30 am until 10:30 am followed by a graveside service at 11:30 am in Valhalla Cemetery, Midfield, AL, officiated by his nephew Gordon Ogle.
