I just learned of Harrold's passing. My deepest condolences. May he rest in peace.

It was my pleasure working with Harrold McDemott at IU School of Medicine. He was a strong and visionary leader and I enjoyed working with him. My deepest condolences goes out to the entire family. He was a true leader and will be forever missed.

Harrold was a visionary leader, a transformer of operations and a wonderful guy full of energy with a smile on his face. What was the motto? "Have fun; make a difference!" That was Harrold.He made a difference for better.

I worked with Harrold for only 6 months and wish it had been years and years.  He had extraordinary spirit and integrity, and he made a difference in my life and those of our colleagues each and every day.  I hold his family in my thoughts and prayers.

Harrold was my best friend growing up in Abilene, Texas. I will miss him dearly.  My condolences go out to all his family and close friends.  May he rest in piece.

I appreciate all that Harrold did to help the UAB Division of Gerontology, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care achieve its mission of serving older adults and patients with advanced or life-threatening illness.  I pray that his family and friends find comfort and peace in this time of loss.

Although I only worked directly with Harrold for two years, I have treasured our lasting friendship. Our thoughts and prayers are with the McDermott family and Harrold's UAB family.
