OBITUARY

Howard Glen Miller

February 1, 1934October 4, 2020

Howard Glen Miller, 86, of Warrior went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 4, 2020. Hailing from Winston County, Glen, as his family and friends knew him, was born on February 1, 1934, and proudly served his country. He retired from Commercial Printing Co. of Birmingham after 46 years. In 2000, at the age of 66, Glen earned his GED and began driving a school bus for Warrior Elementary School until 2018 when he retired after 18 years of dutiful service to his community. He was a faithful servant to his church, Church of the Highlands, where he was an usher at the Fultondale campus and most recently attended Restoration Christian Fellowship in Warrior.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John & Mary Miller, his parents in love, Wilton & Jettie Wilkins, his brothers, and sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Maxine, daughters Shelia (Hank) Baker, Teresa (Wayne) Martin, and Tammie (Fred) Fields and son Michael (Charity) Miller, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, his sister Esther Braswell, his brother in love, Kenny Wilkins, and a host of nieces and nephews, along with countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Restoration Christian Fellowship Parking Lot Fund. Glen was very invested in helping his new church family achieve this longtime goal. Should you wish to donate, checks can be made payable to: Restoration Christian Fellowship and mailed to: 3414 Skyline Dr. Warrior, AL 35180. You can also give securely online at: www.rcffamily.org/give

Mr. Glen was a good neighbor for many years and he will be greatly missed in our community. There is assurance knowing that Mr. Glen was welcomed into his heavenly home and was greeted with, "well done, good and faithful servant". We are lifting Ms. Maxine, Shelia, Teresa, Tammie, Michael, and the entire family up in prayer during this time of profound loss.

Philippians 1:3, "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you"
