

Imogene (“Jean”) Kennedy McCulley, age 92, passed peacefully in her sleep on November 1, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Jean was a United States Postmaster serving the Mt. Olive Community until her retirement in 1989.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Idella Kennedy, brother, Kenneth, sisters, Helen and Ruth, and husband of 60 years, Ralph. She is survived by her children, Gary Wynn, Kathy Morris (Gary), Danny Wynn (Karen), and Karen (Scott) Morro, sister, Lois Cook, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Jean was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and enjoyed the OWLS bible study group. She loved spending time with family, playing card games, watching Alabama football and shopping with her sister. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends at the Gardendale Senior Center. She also enjoyed reading, gardening in her backyard, traveling to new places, swimming in her pool, and attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities. .
Jean was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ready with advice and comfort when needed. She will be truly missed.
A visitation for Imogene will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, 2456 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
