Iona Onie Head Head Meadows

born November 26, 1917, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. She sang under the name of Stony Meadows in the 1930’s on WAPI. Iona was preceded in death by her husband, French Meadows; and her granddaughter, Jan Nelson. She is survived by 3 daughters: Jean Perkins, Lynda Criswell (Jack), and Margaret Moore (Robert) of Montgomery; 12 grandchildren: Jay Perkins, Jackie Layne of TN, Jill Mosley, Joy Storey, Jeffrey Perkins, Greg Criswell, Wes Criswell, Roman Moore of TX, Regina Moore of CO, Robert Moore of TX, Russell Moore of CO, and Ryan Moore of Montgomery; 17 great grandchildren: Stella Layne, Jonathan Adams, Rachel Mosley, Patrick Mosley, Jennifer Roberts, Amy Baker, Emily Nichols, Cara Criswell, Schaeffer Criswell, Wesley Criswell, Jr., Joshua Criswell, Kevin Moore, Austin Moore, Nathan Moore, Selina Moore, Montana Moore, and Cameron Moore; and her special friend, Daisy. Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 10:00 am in Oakwood Memorial Gardens mausoleum chapel.
