Jacqueline P. Buchanan

Visitation will be held Friday, January 13th at 11:00 am at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm. Andrew Barfield of Bayview Assembly of God will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer.

Jackie was born on April 2nd, 1942 to Cecil and Zella Mae Price. She was married to Robert “Bobby” Buchanan for 62 years.--

Jackie worked as a police dispatcher for the city of Fairfield for 35 years. She enjoyed reading, true crime, anything Elvis and sweet tea. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and generous to anyone in need.

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Zella Mae Price, her brothers Marlin L. Price and Kenneth W. Bunn, her son Robert “Mike” Buchanan, and her grandson Steven Bentley.

Jackie is survived by her husband Robert “Bobby” Buchanan; her children Catherine “Cathy” Lowery, LaDonna (Dale) Pair, Amanda (Nick) Loggins, and Greg Lowery; her grandchildren Justin Bentley, Gatlin Lowery and Lydia Loggins; her great-grandchildren Colton Bentley and Eli Bentley; her brothers Cecil L (Barbara) Price and Tommie “Bo” (Brenda) Price; her sisters Sandra Graves, Janice (Roger) Tidwell, Kelley (Mike) Rovinsky, and Mary (Terrell) Clark, a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
