James Bland of Gardendale was born on December 1, 1938 and passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the age of 74. He was born to the late W.F. and Era Bland in Cullman Alabama. James graduated from Hanceville High School in 1957 and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 45 years of service.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Warren Bland. James is survived by 3 Brothers, Paul Bland (Donna), Neal Bland (Patricia), and Ron Bland (Eleanor); 2 Sisters, Janet Byram and Nancy Creel (David) and a host of many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Republic Baptist Church on Sunday, November 10. 2013 at 2:00PM, with Rev. Guy Moore officiating.
