James is survived by his wife, Catherine June Foster; daughter Dr. Catherine Foster; daughter Cindy Dillard; and daughter Chery Storey (John); grandchild James Oliver Dillard.
James was preceded in death by son James Keith; father Mr. Henry S. Foster, Sr. and mother Mrs. Marie Foster; brother Henry S. Foster, Jr. and brother Richard Jack Foster.
A graveside service for James will be held Friday, September 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Foster proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Boxer Aircraft Carrier during World War II, was a dedicated member of Fultondale United Methodist Church, and a proud member of the National Rifle Association.
The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude for the love and care that each caregiver and Hope Hospice tirelessly gave their father.
