James had a long career as a draftsman and after his retirement he loved wood working, fishing and teasing his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted husband, father , grandfather and great grandfather and he loved his family. He will be greatly missed.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Hannah, Sr., and Sudie Mae Hannah and one sister, Maxine Heath.
James is survived by his wife, JoAnn Key Hannah, three daughters, Kathy Duncan (David), Pamela Carden (Grady), and Melissa Belanger (Michael); two step sons, Mike Monroe and Abe Monroe; one sister, Joyce Sullivan, seven grandchildren, Brian Brendamihl, Adam Brendamihl, Jennifer Belanger, Andrea Yearwood, Brandy Belanger, Meagan Monroe, and Christina Monroe; ten great grandchildren, CJ Duncan, Colin Belanger, Joshua Duncan, Mark Monroe, Gabriel Monroe, Lexi Brendamihl, Zoey Minnie, Oliva Lannan, Abighail Lannan, and Inora Lannan; several other family members and friends.
A graveside service for James will be held Monday, August 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
Due to health concerns the family is requesting that everyone attending the graveside service please ware a face mask and practice social distancing.
