
James Milton Holt, Jr., 54, of Trussville, Alabama passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 after a valiant three year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; his parents, Milton and Benita Holt; his brother, Terry Holt; his daughter, Christal Holt Thompson; Step-daughter, Brandy Jackson, (Daniel); step-son Sgt. Brandon Cisco (Brittany); 4 grandchildren; grandsons, Damien James, John Paul, Jayden, and granddaughter, Jordyn Grace; Neices, Hailey and Laura Kate. He is preceded in death by his brother, Bennie Eugene Holt. James was a master aircraft mechanic of the USAF, through Pemco Aeroplex and a proud member of the UAW with many loving brothers and sisters within the union. In addition, he was also a free mason for 36 years, highly regarded by his Masonic brothers. James will be missed by the many friends, co-workers, and acquaintances he associated with both personally and professionally. The man truly never met a stranger and often made new friends by simply helping a stranger in need and getting to know them. His family wishes to express their gratitude to the many doctors, nurses, and technicians both at Providence Hospital in Mobile, and Trinity Hospital in Birmingham for their care and support throughout his battle. Special thanks to his union brother and longtime friend Ron Ramsey. James wished to be cremated and requested a private memorial which will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. His light will continue to shine on through his survivors who will cherish his love and legacy forever. “143 Always”.
