James was preceded in death by his father, Carl, and his mother, Zula. He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Dottie), his five children Jamie (Linda), Carla Higginbotham (Mark), Ty Burgin (Vickie), Tim (Tammy), and Marsha Brag (Steve). He has 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was a member of Grace Point Church at Mt. Olive. He retired from PEMCO, INC in 2001 after 20 years of service. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Hope Hospice.
A graveside service will be held at Moncrief Cemetery at 2055 Moncrief Road Gardendale AL 35071 Monday March 29th at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
