Age 83
James was a beloved member of Gardendale First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and the teacher of the Goodwill Sunday School Class. James was preceded in death by parents, W.H. Parsons and Vera (Tom) Armstrong; his wife, Leila Collins Parsons. He is survived by his children, Jim (Anita) Parsons, Susan (Mike) Romine, Lisa (Rick) Wilborn and his brother Tommy (Sandra) Armstrong; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel Thursday, Mar. 29 from 11-1 with a graveside service to follow at 1 PM at Oakwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wounded Warriors Fund or to Goodwill Sunday School Ministries at Gardendale First Baptist.
