Janice was known for her devotion to her family, generosity, unwavering kindness, and always caring for anyone in need. She loved her family with the happiest times being those spent at family gatherings. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought her the greatest pleasure. Upon her retirement from Independent Presbyterian Church in Birmingham after 30 years, she enjoyed the occasional camping trips and going to all the young ones' special events.
Janice Piccola Phillips is survived by her children, Keith Phillips (Wanda), Cindy Phillips, David Phillips; sisters, Helen Fay and Angela G. Hatchett; grandchildren, Amber Gann (Greg), Daniel Roper (Chelsea), Amy Dillon (Cole), Samuel Phillips (Leslie), Sara Phillips, and a host of great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, Arlie and Pearl Griffin; brother, Roland Griffin; and son, Paul Phillips.
