Jeffrey L Blackwelder

Jeffrey L Blackwelder, age 61, of Morris, Alabama passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Jeff was born August 23, 1960 in Concord, North Carolina and was a1978 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. his first job was Cooks Packing and he was a manager at Food Lion. Before moving to Alabama, he worked for Bilo's. He relocated to Alabama in 1998. Worked for Walmart Supercenter in Gardendale. His most recent job was at Fultondale Elementary and he also worked for numerous vendors. He known for his love for his family and the Lord. He had an overwhelming compassion for his community. Always willing to serve with a smile and a heart of gold.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Blondell Blackwelder. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Wanda Blackwelder; son, Sawyer Harris (Heather); daughters, Alisha Blackwelder (Kayla) and Jada Graves (Ashley); brother, Fred Blackwelder (Denise); sisters, Janice Blackwelder Lord (David) and Susan Blackwelder Lomax (Jason); grandchildren. Jayden Harris, Presley Williams, Jaxon Harris, Tara Graves, Stella Graves, Jaylen Harris, Bexley Blackwelder and Devyn Gunter along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Jeffrey will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel in the Fireside Parlor, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. Rev. Larry Sloan will officiate
