Jerry L. Hurst

Jerry L. Hurst, Sr. aged 75, of Fultondale, Alabama went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2014. He was a longtime member of Fultondale Church of Christ, member of the Masonic Lodge, York Rite and Member of the Zamora Temple where he served with the Clown unit. After his retirement from U.S. Pipe and Foundry he owned Hurst Development Company – Ideal Swimming Pools in Fultondale, Alabama. He was a graduate from Tarrant High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Opale L. and Inez Arwood Hurst; and a brother, J. Gilbert Hurst. Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Linda B. Hurst; brother, Donnie M. Hurst; children, Theresa H. Jones (Dean), Jerry L. Hurst, Jr., Pamela H. Glover, Carles D. Hurst (Loretta); 15 grandchildren, one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014, at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with burial to follow at Walker’s Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service. Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel directing.
