He is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline Dean Turner; sons, Jerry Turner Jr. (Brenda) and Jeffery Turner (Tincie); brother, Wayne Turner; sister, Jean Turner Carter; and grandchildren, Torian Turner, Nathan Turner, Chase Turner, Christian Turner, Hailey Turner, and Lindsey Turner.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Howard Turner; brothers, Jim Turner and Bill Turner; and sister, Jane Turner Adkins.
He enjoyed providing for his family, spending time with his grandchildren, going on trips to the mountains, and sitting on his sun porch petting his cats.
