Born 11/5/1936, went home to be with the Lord 12/6/2012. He was a former U.S. Paratrooper and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Jim was preceded in death by his loving mother, Nellie B. Browning; and his brother, Walter Y. Browning. He is survived by his wife, Carol Sue Basinger Browning; his daughter, Tracy Lynette Brock (Billy); 2 brothers: Donald R. Browning (Jolie) and Richard H. Browning (Bonnie); his sister, Myra Collins; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family. Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Saturday, 12/8/2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, 12/9/2012 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gardendale beginning at 2:00 PM; officiated by Rev. David Moerbe and Rev. Ed Brashier.
