John "Dolan" Howse

John “Dolan” Howse, a resident of Mount Olive, AL, was born in Cullman County, AL, on February 24, 1938 and passed away peacefully on March 15, 2017, at the age of 79. Dolan retired from the City of Birmingham and he was a Past Master with the Brookside Masonic Lodge #552 and a member of the McCarty Farrar Masonic Lodge #8 in Mount Olive, and he was a member of the Sharon Heights Baptist Church.

Dolan is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jerry Howse; a son, John Howse; a daughter, Sharon Howse Heinl (Jamie); brothers, Edward Howse (Betty), Douglas Howse (Ann), and Wade Howse (Gloria); a sister, Mary Stokes (Mike); grandchildren, Brittany Heinl Chandler (Jared), Haleigh Heinl Dotman (Lance), Justin Howse, Jacob Howse (Alyssa), Jordan Howse and Carley Howse; great grandchildren, Londyn Chandler, Holland Chandler, Dallas Chandler and Kinsley Howse; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation, Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 6pm until 8pm; funeral service Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00am with Masonic rites, followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
