Johnnie Louise Hutson

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Horace Stubblefield and Evelyn Gladys O'Barr Stubblefield; husbands, Elbert Murray Simpson, Sr. and Gary Hutson; sisters, Nelda Mae Irwin Simpson and Bettye Jo Irwin Stengle

Mrs. Hutson is preceded in death by her daughter Tammy Simpson Lawler.

Survivors include son, Elbert Murray Simpson, Jr. (Sherrie) and daughter, Nelda Louise Simpson Cowart; grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Cowart Todd (Jeff), Heather Ann Cowart, Sarah Denise Lawler Hadder (Alan), Austin Murray Simpson (Bailey); great grandchildren, Hallie Brooke Todd, Kate Elizabeth Hadder, Zane Murray Simpson, Harper Lynnlee Hadder and Zadie Morgan Simpson; sister-in-law, Beverly Cunningham; son-in-law, Thad Lawler along with special family friend, Maurice Gilmore. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hutson was a member of County Line Baptist Church in Trafford. She attended Bessemer State Technical College where earned an associate's degree. She was employed at S&W Electric.

A visitation for Johnnie will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel in the Fireside Parlor, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 12:00 PM at Valhalla Cemetery, 839 Wilkes Rd., Birmingham, AL 35228.
