Johnnie Key

Ms. Key is preceded in death by her Husband of 61 years, Travis L Key Sr. She is also preceded in death by her eldest son Travis L Key Jr. and grandson Johhny Lee Ashley Key.

Ms. Key’s surviving children two sons Ronald C. Key, Kelly E Key, and Daughter Ritzie Key

Survived as well, by three grandchildren Kimberly (Simon) Millard, Travis Lee Key III (Michelle), and Betsy (Damon) Cramer. Surviving Great Grandchildren: Kennesaw and Emily Cramer, Jax and Oakley Key and Everleigh Millard. Ms. Key is preceded in death by both siblings, Francis (Bob) Bouchelle and Aubrey (Lou) Dean.

Known throughout Gardendale as “Mamma John” Ms. Key devoted most her life to her children and the neighborhood children. Her greatest career accomplishments were her 20 years in the jeffCo education system working with special needs and alternative students. Ages K-12. She was also a devoted animal lover.

A celebration of life visitation for Johnnie will be held Friday, June 21, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A celebration of life service will occur Friday, June 21, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A burial will occur at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, Alabama 35071.
